With is better for the wisdom tooth?
Been there, the bottom 2 of mine were sideways. I had to go to a Oral Surgeon they just shot up my gums, cut them out, and I Promise you ALL the pain went away, I felt all the pressure leave when they pulled it out. They actually had to cut mine into sections to take it out. Came through just fine. It was weird hearing the grinding sound, and the smell but for the most part all I felt was some pushing.

Just make sure they put some stitches in it, seems to heal faster.
Reply:If the lidocaine is properly injected, you should be completely numb-- No pain during the extraction even though you are wide awake.

You might feel post-operative discomfort though, regardless if your extractions were done under local anesthesia or if you are sedated.
Reply:I just had my wisdom teeth out on Monday in the dentist chair with just numbing. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and it was over quickly. Three of mine was impacted and have stiches and one just was pulled. I didn't feel anything on the top at all. Just very litle pushing. I heard that they push you around a lot and leave bruses on your face, but my dentist didn't he was very gentle. The bottom two on the other hand hurt a little when he took them out but it was bearable. I lived through the 5 minutes of discomfort. I would say denfietly get it done in the dentist chair. That was my main reason to get it don in the dentist too...the money. It was worth it on how much money I saved. It will hurt the same after whether you go under or not.
Reply:You wont feel a thing with the local anesthetic...but since you will be conscious i recommend bringing something to listen to...it will help to get your mind off the procedure....
