If you JUST had these teeth out today, do NOT rinse your mouth until tomorrow. Really. It sounds like the tooth on the left was completely under the gums and the flap was sewn back closed all the way. The one on the right may have been partially in your mouth, so it left a bigger wound. The idea of suturing surgical sites is to put the gums RIGHT BACK WHERE THEY CAME FROM and not to "draw them tight" to close up the hole. You probably did not rip it open, but if you have doubts, bite on more gauze and get it checked out in the AM.
Reply:they should have scheduled you another appointment for a follow-up and to do irrigation. but i had that done about a year ago and i didnt really look in my mouth to see if it was there or not but idk you should ask your oral surgeon. hope i helped
Reply:The extraction on the right must have been more extensive and will take longer to heal. The important thing is to make sure you drink plenty of fluids and keep that "black hole" rinsed out or you can get dry socket. Food particles can get stuck in there an cause a lot of pain.
Reply:This possible black hole is a) hole from now missing tooth b) black due to the color of the stitches used to sew up wound. If you were telling that this was a black hole twenty days after this surgery then i would say it was an infection; not the case here. Each hole (left or right side) will be different sizes depending on how deep they needed to open area to remove tooth.
