Wisdom tooth?

i have a impacted wisdom tooth.. theres no pain,nothing wrong with my gums, the only reason i found out about it was because of an xray i took a year ago, my tooth or gums still dont hurt.. im just afraid of it pushing my teeth and making them crooked...will that happen?? has my wisdom tooth grown fully inside and now no longer grow?? i cant consult a dentist cuz i cant afford one i dont have insurance and when i did b4 he told me to take it out, when i asked him about it he just kept saying take it out, he was an old fart so i didnt bother to ask more.. help me out plz

i am sooo sorry....you will need to get it out....i work with an oral sergeon....if you dont get it out it will eventually make your teeth crooked cause it will keep pushing your teeth and make you have crooked teeth...sorry the old fart couldnt explain it more to tell this info...but you dont want it to get worse...try also looking into a dental plan where you pay for the month to get it cheaper to take it out...
Reply:First,how old are you? If your wisdom tooth dose not have a root,then it is still going to grow. If you are not having any problems with it, then I say leave it alone. When it starts to bother you, then you are going to need to remove it. Some people can have impacted wisdom teeth and be just fine with leaving them the way they are. Others are different,it just depends. That's why I say leave it alone until it bothers you. If you get insurance then I would advise you to get it removed. You will know if it is pushing your other teeth,because your gums will be sore from the shifting of your teeth. But you said you don't have any pain,so just leave things the way they are and don't worry to much.
Reply:i was told my wisdom teeth did not need to be taken out. at this time i had braces and did wear a retainer routinely. when i had my braces off, they were perfect . within months to a year my teeth had moved because they came in and crowded my mouth, impacted does mean they are growin sideways but that leads to infection. i now dentist can take advantage of us as much as any other expert can but i d go to one if you can. tip find a dental school/college near you and go there great treatment and half the cost
