Had my wisdom teeth out, I know it's weird but I see no sockets.?

I had my wisdom teeth out on Saturday and besides the day of I have had virtually no pain and only soreness. I had stitches put in but the thing that really makes me nervous is I see no sockets. Everyone I hear is talking about sockets and making sure the clot stays but I don't even see them. Is this normal? My teeth were impacted so I guess he cut them out, does that mean I will not see the socket since it was under the skin and that I am not at risk for dry sockets? I know this sounds strange but I have no idea....

The sockets are so far back there that you'll have trouble seeing them, especially if you have stitches covering them. You are still at risk for dry socket, so make sure that you don't smoke, drink through a straw, or spit for at least three days. Avoid anything that causes negative pressure in your mouth. It's good that you don't have pain. If you get a dry socket, you'll know it. You'll get a bad taste in your mouth, it will hurt REALLY bad, and pain medicine won't help. As long as you are following your post op instructions, you should be fine.
Reply:i had the same thing done thursday. I can't see the my clots either and everything has gone fine for me so far.
