Can I get adult braces even if I have a few cavities and an impacted tooth in the very back?

My teeth are very healthy and white except for a few minor cavities in the back and an impacted wisdom tooth. Can I have those problems taken care of AFTER the braces are applied? I need my teeth to get straightened as fast as possible! How much are braces with no insurance?

The cavities must be treated prior to braces, braces hinder proper cleaning of teeth and will make the cavities worse. The impacet wisdom teeth will have to come out sooner or later so its best to just get them removed now. Impacted wisdom teeth have been show (not conclusively) that if left in place can result in crowding of lower front teeth later on in life...they seem to exert pressure on the adjacent teeth if they cant erupt.

Take care
Reply:I think they fix all the problems with your teeth before the braces, I'm pretty sure it's a requirement. Braces are usually around $4500. You can pay monthly for a few years if you need to.
Reply:dentist is going to prefer you get that all fixed before you put braces on to prevent any damage to the braces working on your teeth.
Reply:THe dentist will first take care of your cavities and any other probelms before you get braces. They want your teeth to be completly healthy.. rid of any problems before your braces. The reason why they fix your cavities before braces is that once braces are on its harder to get rid of your cavitiy if its in the area where your braces are. Braces without insurance cost you about $3500-$5000
