Wisdom tooth help?
I'm sorry dude you should get that baby removed. Unless you have a large mouth it will end up pushing your teeth into crookedness which is more expensive to fix than the surgery.
Reply:You need to get insurance when possible and take care of it.
Reply:i had my wisdom teeth taken out 'in the chair' - ie with local anaesthetic just numbing the area, they didn't actually knock me out.

i'm in aust, it only cost me about $150 per tooth extraction, which is a darn lot cheaper than having to go in hospital, under general anaesthetic to get it done - that was over $1,000 or something which i couldn't afford.

can you have them taken out in the chair?
Reply:The old fart knew what he was talking about. Yes, it will affect other teeth. Also, it will eventually cause a pain you cannot imagine. Go online. There are many dental insurance plans that are affordable and will help with the cost. You can also work out a payment plan with the dentist. But don't continue to just put it off.
Reply:I just got my wisdom teeth taken out yesterday! All four of my wisdom teeth were impacted, and didn't hurt me either, but they would have made my teeth crooked if I left them in. It is best to get them taken out when you are young because otherwise they will grow long roots and be nearly impossible to get out. I took my X-rays to an oral surgeon. In half and hour he had taken them all out. It cost $300, which was 20% of the original price cause i have insurance, so I'm not sure what it would be for you. If you're worried about money, do what I did, don't get put to sleep, just tell them you want local. It's much cheaper and way easier. They use only novacaine. It's not that bad, I'm so glad I did it this way instead of getting put to sleep. It didn't hurt at all during the procedure. Just make sure you bring headphones and listen to music while they do it! That saved me. It made it so much better. Right now my face is swollen but I feel ok. Hope this helps!
Reply:Been there. Had all four taken at the same time. I would take the advice and remove them asap. If they push up against the other teeth it can damage those as well. It's one of those "maintain now to prevent future disaster" things. It should just be an extraction and if you check around you can find maybe a dental school, etc locally. Then it would only cost a fraction. They are pretty safe anyway considering someone is always watching over them. Good Luck!!

i am sooo sorry....you will need to get it out....i work with an oral sergeon....if you dont get it out it will eventually make your teeth crooked cause it will keep pushing your teeth and make you have crooked teeth...sorry the old fart couldnt explain it more to tell this info...but you dont want it to get worse...try also looking into a dental plan where you pay for the month to get it cheaper to take it out...
