Can ANYONE help? I had a wisdom tooth pulled and I think I am dying.?

I have never had such pain (other than labor). I had an impacted wisdom tooth removed and mt whole face, head and jaw hurts. I have a massive lump on the jaw line...is all of this normal? When can I eat and drink again? I only had the procedure done this morning, but I can't even drink, I get a shooting pain when I do. Please only serious answers, I'm really not in the mood for scarism. Thanxs in advance for anyone who helps.

I'm sorry about all the pain.

the reason you have a giant lump is probably because your gums are swollen and filled with blood.

right now i suggest calling a doctor or your dentist that did the operation.

all i can really suggest is get some warm salt water and rub it on your gums where the big lump is and see if that works some of the blood/ or fluids that might be in the lump up. also try baby orejel it tastes better and it is more powerful. [get the all night one--it lasts longer]

okay about the shooting pain this is most likely coming from the nerves that the roots of the were attached. they are probly in shock right now because they were just detached. just like when you were little and lost a tooth and touched the little whole and it hurt. that could be another possibilty.

again go to a doctor imediatly.

or take pain killers.

again im sorry about your pain hopefully your all better soon.

Reply:Ask whomever did the surgery. They can assist you.

I had a wisdom tooth pulled once, but I did not experience what you are experiencing. I would call someone for help.
Reply:try to gargle with warm water and salt and use an ice pack for your face. You should try calling your dentist.
Reply:Call them now!

Try an ice pack and Tylenol while you wait for an answer.

They may be able to prescribe some coedine for you, have them call it into the pharmacy and make sure it is ready to pick up BEFORE you leave to get it.
Reply:That stuff is par for the course. Get some sort of frozen thing wrapped in cloth and put it against your face. I does really hurt!

They should have given you pain killers.

Careful not to drink and flush the "plug" out of the hole the tooth left. You need to keep that pulpy glob in there to heal.

Look up "dry plug" to make sure you didn't do that.
