I'm having my wisdom teeth extracted and then a week later?

I'm going out of town. I should be fine right. I'm going to float the river and go to a water park. I only have 3 wisdom teeth. The 2 on the top have errupted already. I only have one on the bottom and it is impacted under the bone, but i should be fine right?

I think you'll most likely be fine. What worries me is the water stuff. . . make SURE not to get any of the water in your mouth at all. Like, POSITIVE. Because god only knows what's in it, and you'll have the wounds in your mouth. :-/ I'm not even a germphobe at all, but that actually would bother me.
Reply:ask your doctor for antibiotics right off, because the thing that can happen (what happened to me and a few other people I know) that can slow your recovery time is if something gets infected, and it's really a horrible experience too. so just get the antibiotics as a preventative to getting an infection because once (if) it gets infected it's too late, it's already a problem, you're better off being safe than sorry. Someone told me that before I got my wisdom teeth out last summer and I didn't do it and got a really bad infection that slowed my recovery by like a week and a half, and it was at least a month before I could open my mouth all the way. I don't want to scare you I also know people who were totally fine two days after. good luck!
Reply:if it's only one tooth, you will probably be ok. don't do too much, though. general recovery is around a week.
