Wisdom teeth?

I had my wisdom teeth taken out on thursday morning and my stiches on one side literally just came out and i'm worried it's too soon. Also the where my bottom teeth were removed there is still some strong pain and most people are saying that they didn't need medicine after two days. however my bottom teeth were called "bony impacted" does that have more pain and last longer? i'm just concernedi might have dry socket or something

Wisdom teeth?
Women on birth control or smokers have a higher risk of dry socket. Bony impaction also increase your risk. Normally after two to three days the majority of the pain should be gone. If it still hurts to the point where you feel you need pain meds go back to your oral surgeon or dentist, it probably is dry socket. They will rinse the area out and disinfect it. Don't worry about the stitches.
Reply:give yourself a few more days. especially if you had all of the taken out, I had one and it was really bad and it took around a week in a half to stop taking my pain meds. if you had dry socket you would be in sooo much pain. just give yourself some more time
Reply:Bony impacted means what it sounds like. They probaby had to cut deeper so you will have a bit more pain the normal. Call your oral surgon or dentist to ask about the stiches and to talk about your concerns about dry socket.
Reply:Everyone is different, I didnt took medicine for 3 days my sister took it for two weeks. Give yourself more time, it may take a week or more before you stop using medicine. About your stiches if you started bleeding again I would notify my doctor.
Reply:Call on the Dental Office, where the wisdom teeth were extracted, they should be answering your questions as part of the treatment. Express the concern to them about the dry socket as well. After all they do get paid and your care should be part of their service. Any concern of yours should be a part of the treatment, and they should give you their professional guidance, until you are completely healed
Reply:Unless there is lots of blood oozing out don't worry about the stiches, mine came out pretty quickly also and I bled for about three afterwards but it was fine. I think if you had dry socket then you'll be doubled over with pain and you'd have the worst bad breath ever!! My dentist gave me enough pain meds for a week and a half - two weeks so I think it's normal enough you're still in pain. It'll go. If you're worried get the dentist to check it out in case the wounds got infected.
