My wisdom teeth were extracted today...?

I just had my four wisdom teeth removed today. They were all impacted and one was up near my sinus's. I am on pain medication/antibiotics and I feel okay...just a slight pain with swelling. I am 19 and I work in a restaurant as a waitress. I am living on my own and I need the money and I really don't want to miss anymore work. I only took today off, but I really want to be able to return to work tomorrow (Tuesday). Anyone who has had their wisdom teeth extracted, do you think I should be feeling okay enough to or no?? I'm staying with my parents and they don't even want me going back home tomorrow. What do y'all think??

I would not suggest going back to work while on pain medication because they can make you do some weird things.DO NOT EVER DRIVE WHILE ON PAIN MEDICINE!!!!!!!
Reply:I spent the first week slobbering blood into a trash can and was unable to talk at all. Yours does not sound this bad.
Reply:You will really have to see how you fell in the morning. You may have some more swelling and bruising tomorrow. Depending on how much effort it took to do the extractions, you may be fine. Do not drive if you are taking your pain meds, wait until you can switch to tylenol.
Reply:Don't do it. From experience you feel fine the first day from all the pain killers, but it will hurt way worse tomorrow. Most likely you will wake up feeling like your mouth was ran over by a train. I learned the hard way by trying to go to work the next day, and ending up off work longer from over doing it. Please take the day off and get your rest for a speedy recovery!
Reply:My opinion...If you are still having to take pain meds then you should not go. Ibuprofen works really well for mouth pain though...so you might go with that if you HAVE to go to work. I would probably go if I did not have to take the pain meds and the bleeding was under control.
Reply:I was about your same age when I had my teeth pulled, it was on a Friday and I did not have to go back to work until Monday, but I am pretty sure I felt pretty good the next day and could have worked, just be carefull not to drink with a straw to break open the stitches. If you need the money then go to work you will be fine =) I know what that is all about.
Reply:I stayed off for two days and then also had the weekend to get off the pain meds. You have to be able to function without the pain meds and eat before you can return to work.
Reply:My daughter had her wisdom teeth removed one week ago. Soon after she passed out twice and BP dropped to the floor. You really need to take at least three days off, which by the way the swelling is the worst on Day 3.....Please keep Ice Packs on as much as possible. Keep your tongue away from your incisions.....Don't eat anything that is hard...make certain you take your antibiotics and really take care of yourself...

Just today has my daughter been more like her old self..

It's not a game and once the medications wear off, you will want to get as much help as possible.....Lots of whipped potatos, jello, canned ravioli my daughter enjoyed that, anything really soft so you don't encourage dry socket.

If you get dry socket you'll be out of work for a month.....

STAY HOME THIS WHOLE WEEK!!!!!
