I'm sick and am getting my wisdom teeth pulled out tomorrow...should I reschedule?

So my wisdom teeth are impacted and I am going to be put to sleep but I'm not feeling well. I have a sore throat [maybe strep], runny and conjested nose, and an ear infection. A few people have told me to reshedule, but I'm not sure. Help ASAP!

I'm sick and am getting my wisdom teeth pulled out tomorrow...should I reschedule?
Yes, you should definitely reschedule. While under anesthesia you need to be able to breathe well, but since you have a congested nose you wouldn't really be able to. I'm sure the doctor wouldn't go through with the surgery anyway knowing you were sick. And since you're already sick, you have a weaker immune system that won't help you heal afterwards. Believe me, if you're already feeling miserable, you certainly don't want to have your teeth pulled right now. Absolutely reschedule.

I hope you feel better soon. :)
Reply:The dentist knows very well about such cases and I guess you cannot continue with the wisdom tooth removal especially if you are sick and have fever...

At least that's what the dentist said to me back when I was still about 7 years old.
Reply:yah i think so it will be better
Reply:it is very hurtful and not cool but once you get done thats it
Reply:I would see if I could reschedule.
Reply:phone the dentist and ask for his advise. as far as I know they will give you one look and reschedule, so make that phone call and put your mind at ease.
Reply:They won't do it if your sick, I had mine pulled and didn't get put to sleep, but they asked if I was sick and said if I was they wouldn't do it.
Reply:I just had mine out today and I'm sick, but I was only sedated heavily. They seemed more concerned if I had chest congestion rather than a snotty nose.

I would call them first thing tomorrow and ask them. They might still do it, but they might want to reschedule.

Good luck!
