I need 4 wisdom teeth & 4 premolars out for braces?

My dentist suggested I get all 8 out by the oral surgeon just to get it out of the way but it was up to me. My wisdom teeth are impacted except my uppers. Would you rather have all 8 out at once or would you get the dentist to remove the other 4 molars? (Im so scared! I dont want to look ugly! lol)

well maybe after words for about a week because of all the swelling but it will all go away dont worry about that

i had 6 removed by oral surgeon and two by denist


but i would HIGHLY recommend you


to get them all out at once


that way the pain will only be for a week instead of two weeks





also when you get your wisdom teeth pulled you are asleep


however when the dentist pulls them you are wide awake your just numbed and have laughing gas (which is so funny to have!! OMG!)





i cannot tell you how much you ould rather have to get them all out at once!!


then you wont have to go through so many nerves and not as much pain

Reply:well i kinda have to remove my 4 wisdom teeth and i prefer to do them all at once so i wont have to go through the pain again. But 8 teeth at one time. hmm that will be even tougher. If it is safe to remove all 8 at one time(the surgeon will let u know that ) then go for it but just know you will have to take lots of pain killers.
Reply:Did the dentist say you needed them pulled or the Orthodontist. That makes a difference. The dentists don't know a lot about braces, and they may say things about braces that are not true at all. So go to the orthodontist and ask them. I had braces for three years, and the dentist told me all sorts of untrue things about braces, only to have the orthodontist to say the truth, and now my teeth are beautiful!





If the orthodontist said that the need to be removed then i personally would take the quickest route personally. I am unsure which would be quickest though

Reply:You are getting braces so that your teeth will be beautiful. Sometimes your mouth just isn't big enough for all your teeth. So some have to go to make room for the others to be straight. I had teeth pulled for braces back in the day, and both of my sons have had teeth pulled for theirs. So that is nothing to make you 'ugly'. And as far as when to get it done, I had 3 wisdom teeth done by and oral surgeon, and had less discomfort than one from a dentist. So I would have them all done at once by the surgeon and get it over with. That is only one session of soft food and swelling instead of two. Or more, sometimes dentists only do one side of the face at a time. Besides, it will probably be cheaper to get it all at once. And oral surgeons give pain pills that will keep you more comfortable.
