Does taking out your wisdom teeth impact jaw growth? please answer ASAP?

Jaw growth is pretty much finished by the time your wisdom teeth are an issue.

What would be more of an issue in the nerve that runs along the lower jaw, the mandibular nerve, it is possible to pinch that nerve while removing the wisdom teeth. It happens infrequently, but your Oral Surgeon should mention it to you

Does taking out your wisdom teeth impact jaw growth? please answer ASAP?
I don't think so, I had all mine removed with no problem but we are all different.
Reply:no. however leaving them in could especially if they are growing in funky. the earlier in life you have the removed the less chance of any kind of side effects because their roots are shorter and haven't yet fully anchored into your jaw bone.
Reply:No! See your dentist or doctor (whichever you feel more comfortable with).

However, removing your wisom teeth can allow other teeth to move and expand (over several years) making your mouth seem wider because your teeth are more spaced.
Reply:No. Your Jaw will grow as much as it is genetically determined that it will grow (unless you mess around with steroids). The main difference will be whether or not your teeth come out straight. If there is not enough room with your wisdom teeth in, your teeth could start to become crooked. Taking out wisdom teeth could allow room for the remaining teeth to come out staighter than they otherwise may have been..
Reply:It does not impact jaw growth. Actually it at times can make the jaw stronger. Where the impacted tooth was will fill in with bone after removed. This can at times make the jaw stronger.
Reply:The best website you can go to, in order to find out everything on specialist wisdom teeth removal, costs, stories related to wisdom teeth, IV sedation vs GA or plain LA, post operative care (including diets), complications (like numb lip) as well as newsletters about wisdom teeth, is http://www.oceansurgical.com.au .... Good luck, I hope everything goes well for you! And remember, only go to an oral and maxillofacial surgeon to have your wisdom teeth removed. You can find out about OM surgeons in your Australian town by going to http://www.anzaoms.org
