Have a question on wisdom teeth?

Ok, my wisdom teeth have been bugging me for awhile now, I was suppose to get the pulled out last March, but my husband swithced jobs and didn't have insurance, now we do have insurance, and my bottom wisdom teeth are killing me, when I had my x-ray done my dentist told me they were inpacted. Now on my left and right side I have like knots by my gums around my wisdom teeth, they feel really weird, I looked up things online and saw you can have cysts when your wisdom teeth are impacted, I was just wandering if anyone else has heard of this, or has had this happen to them, it hurts so bad I can't eat and I can't close my mouth b/c it's so swollen. If you have had this, what does the dentist do to relieve some of the pain, and did you have to get your wisdom teeth out quicker?

When your wisdom teeth are impacted, that just means that can't come down into place due to being stuck. I don't know how old you are,but wisdom teeth come in between 17-21yrs., but it takes your roots 3 years to develop and it would feel better for a person to get them out before the roots develop. They can develop cysts or if they have any decay, they could have infection. I would call a dentist and let him know what is going on and the pain you are experiencing. Hope this helps--Good luck!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:dentist is the good way but as u said u cant do that.

so i would say pull them out...i dont know???????
Reply:I had to go to an oral surgeon to remove mine. Ask your doctor for some pain meds!
Reply:As with all doctors, your pain is their main concern. Don't waist time asking too many questions. The longer you wait the worse it will get. Although dentists do cause some pain, they don't want you in pain. See your dentist asap.
